New in ResLife Portal version 5:
"Resident Zones" matches staff members (such as RAs) to residents. This provides flexibility to configure the system to various housing styles. Below are a few examples:
- Example 1:
if there is a residence hall with 1 RA per floor, containing 40 residents.
This would need one Resident Zone, to match the RA with the 40 residents.
- Example 2:
if there is a residence hall with 1 RA per wing, and each wing has 2 floors of 15 residents each.
This could need one Resident Zone, to match the RA with all 30 residents.
Or, it could be two Resident Zones, to match the RA to the 15 residents on the first floor, and the second zone to match the RA to the 15 residents of the second floor.
- Example 3:
if there is an apartment complex with 1 RA per 3 buildings, and each building has a total of 10 residents.
This could have one Resident Zone to match the RA to all the residents.
Or, it could be three Resident Zones, to match the RA to the 10 residents in each building.
- Example 4:
if there is a residence hall, with 2 RAs per floor with both RAs responsible for the 40 residents on the floor.
This would need one Resident Zone to match both RAs to the 40 residents.
We recommend creating the resident zones prior to adding residents into the system. This speeds up the process when residents are being added. Statistics on resident involvement are calculated and displayed on the Resident Zone Details page.
